Meet our Chorus Director, Rick Ramsey. Rick assumed the role of the Musical Director of the Big Chicken Chorus on April 1, 2008. Rick has 15 years of experience in the Barbershop style of music and is very excited to be a part of the Big Chicken team. Rick brings a number of years directing experience with him to the Big Chicken, including almost 10 years as a Baptist Music Minister, and extensive barbershop directing experience with at least two other Barbershop choruses in Alabama.
A seasoned Quartet performer as a Lead and Baritone, Rick lives in Birmingham with his three high school age sons and commutes to Atlanta a least once each week to conduct Big Chicken rehearsals. On occasion, more than one trip is required to direct the chorus in Atlanta area performances.
Under Rick's direction the chorus has found renewed energy and is in the process of building a new repertoire of Rick's favorite tunes.
