Chicken Chips

(L:R) "Handsome" Dave Philo
Bill Schreiner
Ray Taylor
Jack Sweitzer

The Chicken Chips are an entertaining barbershop quartet whose melodious, nostalgic chords charm audiences with a glimpse back at a turn of the century style of four part harmony. This, coupled with their ability to keep an audience smiling with their inimitable "Chicken Chips" humor and zany antics, have pleased audiences far and wide. They have made appearances at intimate party groups, conventions, malls, on radio, TV and entertained fans at Falcons football games with a pregame show and the National Anthem. Their relaxed style and consistent success with many types of audiences makes them a favorite with all age groups. So, sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of Atlanta's favorite quartet, the Chicken Chips !

The tenor part is sung by Bill Schreiner. Bill is a manufacturer's rep for a number of companies in the computer hardware business. He has been singing in quartets and winning awards for over 25 years. Bill is a avid snow skier and enjoys making car payments.

The lead, and most attractive member of the quartet, is "Handsome" Dave Philo. He is a self employed headhunter, enjoys fine dining, not so fine dining, and fast food. He's been singing in quartets since his high school days and is bound and determined to eventually be a prima ballerina.

The bass singer, Ray Taylor, is a relative newcomer to barbershopping, having sung in church choirs for many years. His versatile talent has allowed him to sing any of the voice ranges within the quartet, but is relegated to the least difficult part due to his lack of personality. Ray travels as an auditor for a national insurance firm and enjoys groveling for a hobby.

The baritone part is handled in a lackluster manner by Jack Sweitzer. Jack is renowned for his imitation of a fire hydrant and spends most of his leisure time out on his fast boat with luxurious women, or is that vice-versa? He is an executive with an Atlanta based multinational paper manufacturer and specializes in raw material stock for counterfeiting and disposable diapers.
