Singing Valentines
Singing Valentines

Each year on February 14, we send out quartets to delivery a card with your message, a rose, and 2 love songs to your loved one(s). The deliveries take place at the location of choice (home, workplace, school, restaurant, etc.) and at a time, within reason, most convenient for the recipient.

Jack's Mile - Keep Cobb Beautiful
Jack's Mile - Keep Cobb Beautiful

Since 1998, the Big Chicken Chorus has helped to maintain a one-mile section of Johnson Ferry Road in East Cobb as part of the Keep Cobb Beautiful program. This program was initiated by Jack Sweitzer, a Past President of the Marietta, GA Chapter. Unfortunately, Jack met an untimely death in 2008. We had that mile renamed in his honor, and we continue our quarterly clean-up of "Jack's Mile" to this day.

2021 Christmas Show
2021 Christmas Show

The 2021 Christmas season saw a brief respite in the COVID Pandemic - enough at least for us to make a few performances for those willing to risk being part of an indoor audience. No reported COVID cases from those who attended our performances.

A Big Chicken Chorus Afterglow
A Big Chicken Chorus Afterglow

A big part of the social fabric of the Big Chicken Chorus takes place following our rehearsals and performances. A number of our members generally adjourn to a nearby restaurant, grill or sports bar to quench our thirst, have a bite to eat and sing a few more songs. We refer to these events as "Afterglows."

The Holiday Season at area shopping malls is another place you might encounter the Big Chicken Chorus. It's usually a festive environment with the hustle and bustle of shoppers and kids in line to talk to Santa.

With a name like "Big Chicken Chorus", you can't expect us to be serious al the time. Silly themes and dialog are part of our DNA.
Zoom Rehearsal
Zoom Rehearsal

During the COVID Pandemic, the BCC reverted to Zoom Rehearsals. You couldn't hear the other voices singing, but everyone could see one another and there was some chatter between songs. We all stayed safe, but musical progress was nearly impossible.
Carbershop Singing
Carbershop Singing

As the Pandemic eased slightly, we attempted "Drive-In Rehearsals." Each singer, in his own car, had a microphone tied into a Mixer Board. The combined sound was then transmitted back to an FM Channel on the car radios. We could hear all the other voices. A big improvement from Zoom, but still unlike an in-person rehearsal.
In Person Rehearsal
In Person Rehearsal

At long last - an indoor, In-Person rehearsal. Oh-oh, there's work to be done. But Ben whips us into shape for a long awaited performance - our 2021 Christmas Show.
